Dear Don Spicer,
I am a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in the Mokhotlong District. I live in a small village called Kanana. Recently, I was asked by several community members for some sports equipment, preferably a football, volleyball, and a pump.
The surrounding area in which I live has many soccer teams who travel to one another's villages to play weekend matches. Most of the teams have their own uniforms and shoes, but are consistently short on good balls. I am guessing that the rough terrain gives them a short life! Anyway, I requested money through Friends of Lesotho for a new football, volleyball and pump. I purchased the equipment in November and presented them to my community. They were extremely appreciative to you and have put the ball to good use. Enclosed is a picture of my village team and them playing a match, sometime in December just before a nasty rainstorm!
Thank you for your time and energy in keeping the Friends of Lesotho going. It's greatly appreciated. Enclosed is a thank you letter from the team members as well.
Sincerely,
Craig Buscher
